Our Mission and Credentials

Group Homes of Forsyth, Inc., will provide quality residential care and training for adult persons with mental retardation and/or other intellectual developmental disabilities, and shall consistently look for innovative resources and means for the expansion of services for these individuals. We shall also identify those persons who have the potential to move on to a less restrictive environment and provide them with the necessary programming to mainstream into the community if, and when, appropriate.

CARF has been a leading, independent, nonprofit accrediting body of human services since 1966. With guidance from the field, including providers, funders, and, most important, the persons receiving services and their families, CARF developed standards that are focused on outcomes and the satisfaction of the persons served. CARF accreditation is more than a certificate on the wall. Accreditation is evidence to consumers that Group Homes of Forsyth is committed to continuous quality improvement of services and consumer satisfaction.
